Weekly Study #3: Zinnia

The Zinnias in my garden are post-peak and this one in particular was fading into a gorgeous apricot color! This weekly study was particularly challenging. Color mixing was hard for me, I kept mixing and remixing and I struggled to really ever find the right colors and tones. But I learned a lot about shadows and overlapping petals. Please see the video below and check out Studio Ludagate on Instagram for all my videos. Follow along as I learn more and more about watercolor every week!
